Johnny Chu
Johnny has over 20 years of experience in the audit and assurance profession. He has extensive experience in serving companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and has also been actively involved in assisting companies in their preparation for IPOs, as well as acting as the reporting accountants for several Hong Kong IPOs.
Prior to joining Baker Tilly Hong Kong, Johnny was an equity partner at one of the Big Four accounting firms where he was the component audit partner in charge of a few Fortune 500 companies’ audits and was also the partner in charge of two past Hang Seng Index companies’ audits. He has many successful experiences in leading large scale group audits with component auditors from various firms in Mainland China, US, UK, Germany, Singapore and India. Johnny has broad exposures with clients in many sectors including technologies, property development, construction, healthcare, consumer business and manufacturing sectors.
Johnny is also an active member of the Economic Policy Committee at the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, a committee which studies and advises the General Committee and Chamber Directorate on broad economic policy and draft legislation likely to affect trade, commerce, industry, finance or services, and the general economic environment, competitiveness and future of Hong Kong.
